What else does Peter Parker get up to in his own time other than photography?
He loves taking pictures, his dream is to be a professional photographer, and Maguire’s Parker shows just how important that passion is to Peter. It’s another dimension to the character that we love, and it runs through each film, tying in seamlessly to the plot.
Whether J Jonah Jameson’s affiliation with the guy who takes pictures of Spider-Man makes him a target, or the new photographer at the Bugle sparks up a heated rivalry with Peter on account of their mutual desire for success, the newspaper matters, not only to Peter, but to the audience.

Thankfully, the MCU has finally cottoned on to the amazing impact that the Bugle and Jameson have on the Spider-Man viewing experience, and their post-credit scene for Far From Home looks to increase the prevalence of this part of Peter Parker’s life. But so far, it has lacked.
