10 Reasons Why Warner Brothers MUST Release The Snyder Cut

8. Justice League 2 Becomes A Legitimate Possibility

Did you know that Justice League 2 was supposed to come out earlier this year? Originally slated about a year-and-a-half after Justice League's release, the project was quietly canceled and swept under the rug for obvious reasons. WB was clearly confident that the film's success would be inevitable, so much so that Justice League's failure brought them down to earth hard.

Now with Affleck out and Cavill's place in the universe a mystery, no sequel to JL will be hitting theatres anytime soon. How could this have been avoided? The answer is likely what you'd expect. Zack Snyder had a five-movie plan that he was ready to deliver on had everything gone to plan, but that clearly didn't happen. WB tried to undercut this and attempted to copy modern successful trends in the genre at the expense of artistic vision, which was ultimately their downfall.

Besides, it's not like Snyder's original version of the film wasn't franchise-friendly. He added Martian Manhunter, hinted at some intriguing greater plan involving Deathstroke and Lex Luthor, and set up the universe Big Bad in Darkseid. Restoring that version of the film gives fans a reason to demand a sequel, which was what you'd ultimately want, yeah?
