7. He's No Christopher Nolan
This is true in more than one sense. Nolan is the only man to make a DC movie that people enjoyed equally with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While I'm not the biggest fan of the Dark Knight Trilogy, it's hard to deny the popularity of series. He built a character people hadn't enjoyed watching in years and revamped him into a box office sensation. Snyder has done none of these things. In fact, he was responsible for making a 'realistic' take on Superman, and making it much worse than the campier 1978 version. Not only does Snyder lack the ability of Nolan to make well-like movies, or fantastic movies (see Memento), he completely misses the box office boom Nolan has. People know who Christopher Nolan is. I can have a conversation with friends who only use their TV for Duck Dynasty and American Football, and they know what I mean when I mention Nolan's name. If I mention Snyder, I have to reference at least one of his movies (usually 300). Now, with Nolan off the producer label, Snyder's the sole namesake, and that just isn't enough to receive a vote of confidence from the public.
