Strange Darling is another movie that was absolutely best served by being watched blind, especially as so many reviews talked about the film having a wild mid-film twist.

And of course, once you know a twist's coming it's only human nature to start considering what said twist could possibly be, and therefore quite probably figuring it out long before the movie wants you to.

On the surface, JT Mollner's film is about a young woman, referred to only as "The Lady" (Willa Fitzgerald), being terrorised by a psychopathic killer known only as "The Demon" (Kyle Gallner).

But half-way through the film, the non-linear narrative positively flips the script, revealing that The Lady is actually a serial killer called The Electric Lady, and The Demon is actually a police officer who has good reason to be vengefully chasing her down.

For anyone who managed to see the film without any prior knowledge of its twisty secrets, the reveal certainly ensured that all bets were off for the rest of the story.
