4. David Dastmalchian - Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania

One of the many disappointing things about Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was the absence of fan favourite character Kurt (David Dastmalchian) - Scott Lang's (Paul Rudd) fellow ex-con pal who was conspicuously missing after appearing prominently in both prior Ant-Man movies.

Admittedly, the bulk of the film does take place in the Quantum Realm, so Kurt's presence might've felt a bit perfunctory, but director Peyton Reed did nevertheless find a spot for Dastmalchian to play a new character.

Dastmalchian plays Veb, the slimy alien creature who shows himself to be obsessed with holes throughout the film and can use his goo-like ooze to make new arrivals understand the Quantum Realm's spoken language.

It's certainly a fun part for Dastmalchian, yet the voice is just different enough that you'd never know it was him playing the part.

Quantumania may have been a thoroughly underwhelming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, but it'd certainly be great to see Veb again one day.
