5. Kiernan Shipka - Longlegs
It was rumoured long before Longlegs' release that the film had secured a secret cameo from a well-known actor, and that turned out to be Mad Men and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina star Kiernan Shipka.
A barely recognisable Shikpa shows up for a single brief scene in which she plays Carrie Anne, the only known survivor of serial killer Longlegs (Nicolas Cage).
Carrie Anne details to FBI agent Lee Harker (Maika Monroe) her traumatic run-in with Longlegs as a child, delivered in a grim monotone that couldn't be further from Shipka's peppy work in Sabrina.
With her hair cut short and sunken-in facial features, you couldn't be blamed for failing to even realise who it was playing the part, but she absolutely knocked the dramatic monologue out of the park.
As for how Shipka ended up in Longlegs at all? She starred in director Osgood Perkins' 2015 horror film The Blackcoat's Daughter, and presumably couldn't resist the opportunity to collaborate with him once again.
