10 Recent Movie Characters You Were Happy To See Die
1. Bradley Preston & His Friends - Send Help
How good is it to have Sam Raimi back in the world of horror? After years away, the legendary director returned with Send Home, a deliciously sinister film that was incredibly entertaining and gave audiences a genuine question over who to root for when all was said and done.
Yes, Rachel McAdams' Linda Liddle was the sympathetic bullying victim to begin with, but over the course of the story, she turned into something of a sadistic genius who took pleasure in torturing and killing Bradley Preston (Dylan O'Brien). However, that doesn't make how Bradley and his friends treated her any less disgusting.
As said before, they were bullies. Grown men, and they took pleasure in making fun of Linda's appearance, laughing at her misfortune, and causing her all sorts of mental distress, arguably least of all regarding her career. They were truly detestable, right up until the moment of their deaths.
Donovan (Xavier Samuel), who demanded Linda give him her chair and condemn herself to certain death during the plane crash was justifiably sent flying out of the window, while Bradley's death took a little while longer. He could have become a sympathetic character, had he not tried to abandon Linda to die at the very first chance he got. Did his punishment fit his crime? Possibly not, but who doesn't love to see a bully get their comeuppance, even if it is slightly inflated.
