10 Recent Movie Deaths EVERYONE Hated
1. Mutt Williams - Indiana Jones & The Dial Of Destiny
When a fifth Indiana Jones movie finally entered production, fans were curious whether or not Indy's (Harrison Ford) son Mutt (Shia LaBeouf) would be featured at all.
Between the middling reception to the character following his introduction in the fourth movie, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and Shia LaBeouf's noted personal and legal issues, it would've surprised few fans if the new film simply decided to flat-out ignore Mutt's existence altogether.
Yet prior to the release of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, director James Mangold assured fans that Mutt would be addressed in the movie, and it was ultimately in a way few could've ever expected.
We soon enough learn that Mutt has died since the events of the last film, with Indy later emotionally revealing that he died in the Vietnam War after enlisting to "piss off" his father.
Though the revelation certainly gives Harrison Ford a great dramatic scene to chew on as he ponders his late son's fate, many nevertheless felt it was a needlessly dour outcome for Mutt, and saddled Indy - historically a breezy character without much time for moping - with too much emotional baggage.
It ultimately felt a bit too much like Mutt got the "Poochie died on the way back to his home planet" treatment, when the character could've easily just been off adventuring on his own or not even been mentioned at all.
