10 Recent Movie Deaths NOBODY Saw Coming

The most brilliantly unexpected death scene in Until Dawn occurs when the central characters drink some tap water that, unbeknownst to them, is fatally contaminated.

After drinking the water one of the group, Abe (Belmont Cameli), suddenly begins violently wrenching, and after a short while he violently explodes into a pile of gore, splattering the other survivors with his entrails.

It's a hilariously unexpected moment for one, and further elevated by the superb gore effects, which appear to be a clever blend of practical and digital elements, adding up to an insane shower of viscera.

We then get to watch the rest of the group realise that they're also done for, each of them exploding one by one until they're all taken out and the time loop starts once again.

Until Dawn may be a fairly disappointing adaptation of the hit video game overall, but the death scenes are the easy highlight, and none proved quite so uproariously memorable as this one.
