10 Recent Movie Endings That Pissed Everyone Off
5. Jigsaw (2017)
Jigsaw is still a pretty mixed bag in terms of being both a good Saw film and a good film on the whole. For the gore fans out there it certainly delivers more than a few buckets of blood, however the film is rarely ever close to being scary and the interesting moral complexities of the earlier films' traps and games are pretty non-existent by the time Jigsaw rolls around.
As is custom with a Saw film now, Jigsaw delivers a pretty solid twist in its reveal that the movie's police and trap story lines had actually been taking place at different times and that the bodies found by the police were the work of a copy cat killer.
Unfortunately, that's pretty much where the good times end for Jigsaw. First off, whilst it might have been the showcase of the new era of Saw films and plastered on every piece of marketing for the film, laser collars still just look so out of place in a Saw film. The reveal of Logan Nelson being a Jigsaw apprentice from the very beginning is also pretty muddled and is essentially just a rehashing of the ending of Saw 3D and Lawrence Gordon as well. He doesn't even say 'Game Over' at the end.
