Few expected the most recent Transformers movie to have a plot twist to speak of - beyond, y'know, the possibility of it actually being good - but it nevertheless bamboozled audiences with a wildly unexpected final tease for coming attractions.

After the Terrorcon army is vanquished and the day is saved, human protagonist Noah Diaz (Anthony Ramos) goes to an interview for a security job.

Upon being offered the gig, the interviewer (Michael Kelly) hands Noah a business card while revealing a secret military facility concealed inside the building.

Noah then looks down at the card which reads "G.I. Joe." The End.

Hasbro and Paramount have been teasing a Transformers x G.I. Joe crossover for many, many years, enough that most surely assumed it would never come to pass, especially with all three G.I. Joe movies to date underperforming or outright flopping at the box office.

And so, while this tease was certainly a surprise, did it actually get many folks excited for what's to come? More than anything, it felt like a desperate attempt to boost the box office might of two ailing franchises by colliding them together.

And given that Rise of the Beasts was itself a commercial disappointment, there's absolutely no guarantee whatsoever that this crossover movie ever actually happens.
