2. George Clooney's Bruce Wayne Shows Up - The Flash

It's no secret that The Flash was severely tinkered-with during post-production - it is a DCEU movie after all - and that's never more apparent than during the film's hilariously bizarre final scene.

After saving the day and saying farewell to his mother, Barry (Ezra Miller) returns to his timeline to witness his father Henry's (Ron Livingston) release from prison, and on the courthouse steps encounters Bruce Wayne.

Except, this Bruce Wayne isn't played by Ben Affleck as expected, nor even Michael Keaton - it's George freakin' Clooney from the Schumacherverse Batman movies, seemingly as a result of changes Barry made to the timeline.

In theory it's a fun subversion of expectations, to have Bruce now played by the least-popular Batman actor of all, but it ultimately just ended up confusing vast swaths of the audience.

Some were left assuming that this was intended to establish Clooney as the official Batman of James Gunn's upcoming rebooted DC Universe, while many debated whether the implication was that Barry was now banished to the Schumacherverse forever more.

If it was simply intended to be a cute wink-wink gag for the audience as the DCEU winds to a close, the twist categorically failed by inviting so much earnest speculation about its real meaning.

And finally, if you haven't seen it yet, MAJOR SPOILERS will follow for Five Nights at Freddy's...
