3. Chris Hemsworth As Dementus - Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga

There are many positives attributed to Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. Albeit not at the box office, but there is a lot to like and this is largely due to the performances of Anya-Taylor Joy and, of course, Chris Hemsworth.

The clue is in the name; he's demented, and that could be an understatement.

The Mad Max franchise has aged like a fine wine, featuring a whole host of characters who are quite frankly mad, and Hemsworth's Dementus may just be the best of the bunch. And perhaps, the maddest.

He's eccentric and entirely theatrical, ranging from how he speaks to the way he dresses. Just like those around him, Dementus' mind is corrupted by the cruel conditions he inhabits and said cruelty is reflected in his actions toward others, especially Furiosa. He is a byproduct of his environment.

The buzz and overall excitement that was generated from the announcement of Chris Hemsworth's initial casting in the film was staggering, and following its release, the proof is in the pudding.

He was made for this kind of role, especially in a franchise where the license to be weird and wacky is the norm.

And as such, it's clear to see that the Aussie actor had a blast playing the part of a character as deranged as Dementus. With audiences and critics so used to seeing him play the hero, it was refreshing to see the actor play the villain for once and boy, did he deliver on that end.
