Led by Scream star David Arquette, upcoming true-life drama Blackjack: The Jackie Ryan Story was filming throughout the Hudson Valley during the summer of 2019, only for production to be halted "abruptly", after concerning reports emerged claiming that the crew was being "unfairly treated".

According to the Hudson Valley Film Commission, many members of the crew had problems with the way that the movie was being run - such as "abusive hours" and "safety concerns" - which led to them going on strike. These same crew members also tried to negotiate for fairer pay, but to no avail.

With a disgruntled workforce, the powers-that-be had no choice but to stop filming while an agreeable solution to the situation could be found.

Blackjack will see the light of day eventually, but there's very little information online about what happened after production was halted, though given that this was several months ago, it's safe to assume that cameras have started rolling again by now.
