10 Recent Post-Credits Movie Scenes That Went Nowhere

1. Justice League (Either Version)

Rarely has a post-credit promised so much and delivered nothing. Justice League's first cut concludes with Lex Luthor telling the mercenary, Deathstroke, that it's time to "form a League of our own".

This line implies Lex will, as he did in the comics, set up the Injustice League. (Or the Injustice Gang. Or the Anti-Justice League. There's a lot of Leagues.)

But it doesn't matter since the sequel was scrapped after the film suffered a calamitous production.

But after the original director, Zack Snyder, released his cut in 2021, we got a batch of new stingers! The first post-credit scene shows Lex revealing Batman's identity to Deathstroke, setting up Ben Affleck's solo Batman movie.

In the the next stinger, Bruce Wayne has a vision of Darkseid decimating the world and turning Superman into his minion. After this vision ends, Martian Manhunter formally introduces himself to Bruce, saying he'll help the League in the future.

Since Warner Bros isn't interest in continuing the Snyderverse, these story arcs are stuck in limbo, much to the devastation of DC fans. However, many people never thought Zack Snyder's Justice League would get released so it's possible these post-credit scenes gets some sort of payoff in the future.
