10 Recently Announced Movies That Will Probably Never Happen
9. Shawn Levy's Star Wars Film
It seems like barely a few months go by without another Star Wars film being announced with a hot director attached.
Yet to date we've seen bupkus from announced new Star Wars movies to be directed by Rian Johnson, Taika Waititi, and Ms. Marvel director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, as well as another set to be produced by Kevin Feige.
And most recently, it was revealed that Free Guy filmmaker Shawn Levy will also direct an unspecified new Star Wars film after completing production of both Deadpool 3 and Stranger Things' fifth and final season.
But between Levy's slammed schedule and the utter lack of movement on Star Wars movies in recent years, it's tough to get much excited at all about a film that could very well never happen. Announcement fatigue is a real thing, apparently.
After all, is it more likely the movie gets made or that it simply joins the growing pile of announced films in the franchise which quietly evaporate into the ether?
