4. Harry Potter
Daniel Radcliffe himself has said that he expects a remake of the Harry Potter franchise in the next twenty years. And why wouldn't they do it? All of the original fans will be grown with kids of their own by that time, and the series as a whole will be just dusty enough for the new kids to be relatively unaware of it. A new take on all of the movies will do double the work by introducing the series to a whole new audience and simultaneously making all of the nostalgia money off of the 30- and 40-somethings who were ten or so when the originals came out. Even those who hate this franchise the most are going to have to start admitting that it is a cultural phenomena that will go down in history next to Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and all of the other wildly successful fantasy stories that have captured people's imaginations and endured through the ages. It isn't going away, and as time passes the fact that it was released decades after those other works is going to become less and less noticeable.
