9. Elektra - Elektra
The Death: In Daredevil, Elektra (Jennifer Garner) is forced to face off against goofball villain Bullseye (Colin Farrell) by herself, and ends up being murdered in the ensuing fight, much to Matt Murdock's (Ben Affleck) devastation.
The Resurrection: The end of the movie hints that Elektra may still be alive, after Matt returns to the roof where they shared their first kiss, and finds a necklace with Braile inscribed (nodding towards Elektra knowing Daredevil's real identity). In the woefully unnecessary spin-off Elektra, she is resurrected by her former trainer, Stick (Terence Stamp) before being sent out in the world to fend off the evil supergroup The Hand.
Why She Should Have Stayed Dead: The character was one of the worst things in Daredevil - thankfully her romantic scenes with Matt are toned down in the vastly superior Director's Cut - and it's hard to understand how anyone thought that her character deserved her own movie which, unsurprisingly, was a critical and box office dud. The comic book counterpart might be celebrated, but Garner's interpretation flat-out sucked (more because of the script than her, mind).
