7. Abraham Whistler - Blade II
The Death: In the original Blade, Whistler (Kris Kristofferson) ends up being attacked by Deacon Frost, and infected with vampirism. As a result, rather than be turned into the very thing he despises - they killed his family - he decides to commit suicide on his own terms with a gun to the head.
The Resurrection: In Blade II, it's revealed that Whistler actually (somehow) survived his suicide, but was kidnapped by a gang of vampires who kept him alive through suspended animation. Blade rescues him, administers the cure, and everything is fine and dandy. But not really.
Why He Should Have Stayed Dead: Aside from being
really silly (even for Blade), Whistler's rescue is completely undermined by the fact that, at the start of the third film, Blade: Trinity, he ends up being killed
again when the FBI raid his secret compound, causing him to set off the self-destruct mechanism. Was there much point in bringing him back in the first place, then? Stupid.
