10 Ridiculous Horror Movie Villains That Shouldn’t Have Worked… But Did

4. Killer Jeans - Slaxx (2020)

While not the first horror film to focus on an item of clothing (South Korean killer shoe flick The Red Shoes being another), Slaxx’s tale of killer jeans slaughtering a truckload of fashionistas and greedy executives is unimaginably better than that premise implies.

The plot follows optimistic youngster Libby (Romaine Denis) begin her new job at a retailer who pride themselves on their ethical practices within the fashion industry. However, this image couldn’t be further from the truth. The company are ruthlessly exploitative to their labourers in India to the point that many died while making the new line of cool jeans the retailer is about to launch during a big event.

Unfortunately for the attendees, though, the vengeful spirits of those workers now haunt these jeans.

Much like other entries on this list, Slaxx fully commits to its wild premise by giving us plenty of imaginative and brutal kills of which we’re not sure whether to laugh or wince at.

But what makes this deadly denim a noteworthy villain is director and co-writer Eliza Kephart’s ability to weave a poignant commentary on corporate greed and ethics into the fabric of its otherwise schlocky script.
