10 Ridiculous Performances That Totally Derailed A Movie

1. Quentin Tarantino (Django Unchained)

Quentin Tarantino has been lucky throughout his career in that he's appeared in a number of his films, and generally the scenes work pretty well, with the director not sticking out like a sore thumb. However, that wasn't true of his latest flick, Django Unchained, which does so well for about 140 minutes of its runtime and then totally blows it by featuring the director himself as a slave owner. This would be fine in of itself, but he sports a ridiculous Australian accent and is a colossal distraction from everything else happening in the scene. Thankfully Tarantino appears for just a few short minutes, but he does irreversible damage to the film in that time and it's incredible to think that a director of his vision and creativity could think that inserting himself into that role was a good idea at all. I felt violently torn out of the movie, and was never really able to settle back into it for the short remainder. Which ridiculous performances do you feel completely blew a film? Let me know!
