10 Most Ridiculous Plot Holes In 2013 Movies

6. The Never-Ending Runway - Fast and Furious 6

Fast and Furious 6The Movie: Vin Diesel and his band of foreign pals get into a few more car-based scrapes at various world locations as they try to stop a posh megalomanic from doing terrible things. And then there's a 20 minute scene set on an airport runway. The Plot Hole: The Fast and Furious franchise doesn't propose logic in the same way that say, Alfonso Cuaron's Gravity attempts to, but you've got to draw the line somewhere, surely? So let's think back to the final scene in this movie, where our heroes find themselves chasing a cargo plane along a runaway. After a few minutes of watching this scene unfold, something in your brain - common sense, perhaps - kicks in: "Man, this is a long runway." And your brain would be right to think that, given that there's still, like, 10 minutes to go! The runaway depicted in the movie is approximately 28 miles long, which is... well, incredibly long, actually, given that the longest runway in the entire world is only 3.4 miles. Is it possible that this runaway could have existed in the Fast and Furious world, built so that some rich foreign business man could get his name into a record book? Well, sure. If you like. And maybe that foreign business man gets to be the bad guy in the next movie or something. Next!
