quality cafe Chances are that if a movie is set in Los Angeles and features a scene shot in a cafe, it will probably be filmed at the Quality Cafe. 500 Days of Summer, Training Day, Old School, Se7en, Ghost World, and, well, you can see for yourself in the video below how much has been shot there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04JNnpW4mos Who knows what it is about this diner that drew so many Hollywood productions to it - other than the location - but it must've been quite the business boost for the place. However, the location no longer functions as a diner, sadly, probably because they got fed up of patrons sitting there reciting monologues from Million Dollar Baby and Mad Men rather than just drinking their coffee and getting out of dodge. 500 days It's one of those absurdly overused movie locations that really makes you wonder how little attention you've been paying to movies, especially given that some of the shot compositions in the above montage are pretty much exactly the same. It appears that any feeling of deja vu would not be without merit.
