We're moving to India for our next rip-off and we find yet another standout horror villain being cold-bloodedly aped.

Mahakaal is also known as "The Great God of Time and Death", presumably because that name is so long and ridiculous that it will distract people from thinking about what this movie clearly steals from A Nightmare on Elm Street.

The plot is almost exactly the same. Girl has bad dreams, girl wakes up to find real-life claw marks on body, girl's friend also has bad dreams, girl's friend and her friends go into the dreams to kill claw-glove wielding maniac.

The only differences between this and Wes Craven's original nightmare fuel are that Mahakaal is in Hindi and it has dance breaks in it.

Because sure, why not?

There really isn't a great deal else to say about Mahakaal, because we'd just be going over the plot of A Nightmare on Elm Street. It really is that similar, just with a much lower budget and with a lack of, well, everything that made the original so good.

Still, would we give our left hand to see Freddie Krueger in a musical number? You betcha.
