10 Rip-Off Horror Movies (That Messed Up What They Copied)

2. Pet Graveyard

Ok, this is just getting ridiculous now.

Pet Graveyard? That is so obviously a rip-off of Stephen King's Pet Sematary that it's not even worth talking about!

What's next? The Brightening? Under the Sphere? A killer clown movie called "That"?

Hang on... this isn't a copy of Pet Sematary? Then what is it copying? Flatliners?! What?!

Yes, it's actually the 1990 Joel Schumacher movie getting the Ditto treatment here. That film is about a group of medical students who put themselves through near-death experiences in order to gain a glimpse of the Afterlife.

Almost the exact same thing happens to our friends in Pet Graveyard, except for one key difference.

There isn't really an antagonist per se in Flatliners, just the psyches of each of the students and how they are affected by what they see beyond the grave. In Pet Graveyard, the group is actually hunted by a bloke dressed up as the Grim Reaper... and his cat.

That's right, the entire reason this movie is called what it's called is because the villain has a hairless feline pet.

Utterly outrageous, we're not wasting a second more of our time talking about this film.
