10 Romantic Gestures In Non-Romantic Films

8. Out of Sight (1998)

url Out of Sight is actually a pretty romantic movie; or, failing that, a damn sexy one. Starring George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez in her prime, Out of Sight tells the tale of a bank robber on the run after breaking out of jail. After U.S. Marshall Karen Sisco shoots at him, Clooney's Jack Foley grabs her and jumps into the trunk of the getaway car with her. Despite the fact that she's technically his hostage, the two bond together in the sultry dimness of the trunk. While the rest of the force is later on a manhunt spanning from Florida to Detroit to apprehend Foley, Lopez' Sisco is tracking him down for a different reason. After a brief tryst together in a bar and hotel room, Foley leaves to pull off his heist. When things go awry during the heist, Sisco shows up just before the other members of the force show. Foley, without enough time to escape with his life, doesn't want to go back to prison. But before he can do anything rash, Karen shoots him, saving his life but throwing him back in prison. That's what J. Lo does when she loves you. She shoots you.
