JJ Abrams' second foray into space with the crew of the USS Enterprise ended up being a bit more divisive than the filmmaker may have been hoping. Plagued with a bit too much of the director's signature secrecy, the film didn't quite live up to the hype; but was still an enjoyable movie for those who were able to meter their expectations. Into Darkness shared a lot of the same elements as Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan, especially towards the end. Only this time around, roles are switched and it's Kirk who sacrifices himself for the ship instead of Spock. When Kirk died and Spock held him in his arms, we all knew what was coming next: the music started to boom, Spock tips his head back and let's out the iconic "Khaaaaan!" scream. Some have criticised the line for being corny, others call the moment a blatant rip-off of Wrath of Khan. But there's just something great about hearing that line, something immensely satisfying that should make the inner geek in you smile, even if the execution is somewhat inelegant in the end.
