10 Scariest Car Scenes Of All Time

6. Run, Moochie, Run - Christine

Urban Legend movie
Columbia Pictures

In this Stephen King adaptation, an outcast called Arnie convinces himself he'll become popular if he buys a car. When he stumbles upon a crummy Plymouth Fury at garden sale, he buys it and calls it 'Christine.' After he has the car touched up, Arnie becomes more confident and begins dating the hottest girl in school.

Jealous of Arnie, two school bullies, Moochie and Buddy, smash Christine to pieces. Although Arnie is devastated, he sees the car repair itself, proving that Christine is alive. Not only that, it's thirsty for revenge and encourages Arnie to track down the vandals that attacked her.

After locating Moochie, Arnie drives Christine towards him, attempting to knock him over. After chasing him around the block, Moochie cleverly hides in an alleyway that's too small for the automobile to fit.

However, the paranormal Plymouth forces itself through, crushing Moochie into the wall. Although we don't see Moochie meet his fate, the way the detective describes how he was "cut in half, they had to scrape his legs up with a shovel" is a phrase one won't forget anytime soon.
