7. Dean Armitage - Get Out

The Human Centipede First Sequence
Universal

When black photographer Chris Washington is invited by his girlfriend, Rose Armitage, to her parents' house, he's worried his skin colour may pose a problem. However, Chris is surprised that the Armitage family are friendly to him but he detects their intentions are far from pure.

Although he's right, the Armitages' motives are more disturbing than Chris could've ever imagined. Rose's father, Dean, is a neurosurgeon who is placing his elderly friends' brains in younger bodies to elongate their lifespan. Believing that people with dark skin are "trendy", the Armitages have kidnapped dozens of African-Americans over the years for Dean's experiments. After the new brain is inserted, the original host won't die and instead, is trapped forever in their body as a "passenger".

Dean's pseudo-immortality project isn't just crazy - it's downright callous. The fact that he intends to auction Chris off people without his consent and turn him into a mindless slave in his own body is a fate worse than death. Because Dean's operation can delay death for decades, he sees himself as a saviour to his family, making him utterly blind to the evil he commits.
