10 Scariest Moments In MCU History
4. Zombie Doctor Strange - Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness
There were several different Variants of Doctor Strange seen throughout the Multiverse of Madness. Aside from our normal Strange, Sinister Strange, and the already-dead 838-Strange, the movie opened with the version dubbed Defender Strange.
It was he who was first trying to save America from Wanda’s monsters, though he was killed in the process. After being sent through America’s portal to Earth-616, our Doctor Strange buried him in the bricks of the New York Sanctum Sanctorum.
Incredibly, this came in handy for Strange towards the end of the movie, as he was trapped in Sinister Strange’s universe with no way of getting home. The only thing he could do was to use his Variant’s version of the Darkhold to dreamwalk on Earth-616 in the body of the dead Defender Strange. It was exactly as weird as it sounds.
The Sorcerer Supreme’s body had already started decaying quite drastically, and with the skin falling from his face and the entire left side of his mouth on show, this was one of the creepiest moments in the entire movie. The What If…Zombies? episode was bad enough, but it had nothing on the living dead in live action.
