4. The Ark Of The Covenant (Raiders Of The Lost Ark)
Anyone who watched Raiders Of The Lost Ark as a child no doubt has a couple of repressed memories due to one specific scene in the finale. As Indiana Jones and seemingly the entire Nazi army race against time to find the Ark of the Covenant before the other party, the eventual discovery isn't quite what anyone bargained for. With Indiana caught and held captive, all seems lost for our heroes as the Nazis are in arms-reach of finally wielding the destructive power of the mystical religious item. However in classic villains-getting-their-just-desserts fashion, the Nazis fail to heed Jones' warning and open the Ark, letting out deadly angels of death in the process. As flames and apparitions burst from the Ark, everyone in the vicinity looking at the anarchy going on around them are treated to its full power as their faces being to melt off in gruelling graphic fashion.
