10 Scars Actors Still Carry From Movies

On the epic list of "death-defying stunts" you likely wouldn't be quick to throw riding a bike into the mix. However, when you combine that act with an insanely busy New York City and the traffic-packed roads that come along with the iconic environment, you soon find yourself with a recipe for potential disaster.

Which is something Joseph Gordon-Levitt found out for himself when shooting Premium Rush back in 2012. Whilst peddling on a fixed-gear bike during one of the scenes, a car cut in front of the star, forcing Gordon-Levitt to abruptly change direction. Instead of steering into safety, however, he flew over the back of a cab nearby and then proceeded to smash straight through the vehicle's back window.

This shocking turn of events then led to Gordon-Levitt requiring 31 stitches in his arm, with the film's director David Koepp admitting that the whole ordeal was "really terrifying". The daily reminder, in the form of the scar on his right forearm, hasn't deterred the actor from getting back on his bike, though. He once again found himself falling off one of the vehicles whilst filming Netflix's Project Power a few years later.
