7. Venom Travels To The Microverse
When Flash Thompson was revealed as the new host for the Venom symbiote, Marvel made it clear the character was heading in bold new directions.
One of those directions turned out to be Ant-Man's realm of WTF the Microverse, where he travelled to do battle with arch-enemy Carnage. Teaming up with some of the dimensions locals, the Lethal Protector manages to thwart his nemesis' plan to unleash an army of clones in the metaphysical world.
It's as barmy as it sounds, but showdowns between Venom and Carnage are never anything less than epic, even in pint-sized form.
Although the Eddie Brock version of the anti-hero won't be shrinking down to size to visit a realm Sony doesn't even own the rights to, with any luck the film will include a battle as intense as this between Venom and Carnage.
