10 Sci-Fi Movie Flops That Were Actually Great
6. Event Horizon (1997)
Paul W. S. Anderson doesn’t get a lot of credit due to his work on the Resident Evil franchise and his enduring quest to employ his wife. But his direction of Event Horizon comes from a true place of passion.
He has always been open about his love of Alien and The Shining, which becomes evident when viewing this sci-fi-paranormal-horror adventure. Despite a wanting presence of originality, Event Horizon is awesome.

Sam Neil is terrific and at times genuinely terrifying. The set designs and cinematography still stand up today, and Event Horizon thankfully has a loyal cult following.
