4. The Quantum Creatures Invade San Francisco - Ant-Man & The Wasp

Ant-Man and the Wasp was an agreeably light palate cleanser following the epic insanity of Avengers: Infinity War, though it also didn't even begin to make the most of the quantum realm, which is ultimately only briefly featured during Hank Pym's (Michael Douglas) quest to rescue his lost wife Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer).

Though the film gives us a glimpse of the terrifying creatures residing in the quantum realm, the original plan for the film's third act was to have these creatures make it out of the realm and stampede around San Francisco.

The plan was scrapped at the behest of director Peyton Reed, however, who said, "That kind of stuff felt to me like we’ve seen this a million times."

Given that Ant-Man and the Wasp's finale was pretty forgettable, this could've temporarily spiced it with some classic monster movie flair. But alas, it wasn't to be.
