10 Scrapped Movie Sequels That Would Have Been Amazing
3. Zombieland 3D
While a lot of the movies on this list are probably getting a little too old for proper sequels to even be considered at this point, Zombieland is still relatively fresh. And the zombie craze hasn't really died down much since Tallahassee and the gang first got together. So could we really get a sequel to the fun, zombie-killing antics? After the success of the first one, Variety had confirmed Sony was moving forward with a sequel, hoping to get an even bigger box office "boost" by making it 3D. The director, producer, and writers from the original were coming back, with Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg in talks to reprise their roles (it seems Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin had no intentions of returning). The very idea of watching zombies get their undead asses handed to them courtesy of Woody Harrelson IN 3D is truly the stuff dreams are made of. Unfortunately, reports of the sequel went cold shortly after the initial announcements were made, but there have been titters about the project moving along as recently. They brought in a new writer to freshen things up, though any mentions of it being in 3D were, sadly, absent.
