9. Kane & Lynch
The Kane and Lynch games were never a high-point of entertainment, but they were extremely cinematic, and while the gameplay left a lot to be desired, there was certainly a great narrative from which a superb movie could be extrapolated. The game revolves around two criminals on Death Row who escape from their convoy and make a living as hardened criminals, and it wasn't long before a movie adaptation was put in place, with Bruce Willis and Jamie Foxx starring as Kane and Lynch respectively. Though there was a little ambivalence over the racial change of Lynch - as well as the fact that his character would apparently be less-unhinged than in the game - it really seemed like this one was going to happen. Director Wayne Kramer (Running Scared) was ready to direct, but after he dropped out, everything else seemed to bottom out as well. Willis has since sworn off involvement, and Foxx is plenty busy with his Spider-Man commitments. If done right, this one would certainly be one to watch though...
