10 Scrapped Video Game Movies We're Still Dying To See

8. Duke Nukem

duke-nukem-forever If there's any video game character that's a cinematic sure thing, it has to be Duke Nukem. The character's natural charisma and hilarious plethora of witty one-liners would guarantee that this would make considerable bank at the box office, given his familiarity with nostalgic men in their 30s and 40s, and also younger audiences who may know him from the recent Duke Nukem Forever. A movie has been in the works for well over a decade, yet it was curiously pitched as a PG-13, which given the subject matter of the series, seems utterly ridiculous. Thankfully, that iteration of Duke never made it to the big screen. This one really shouldn't be hard to put together; make it R-rated, give it a hard rock soundtrack, have Duke face off against an alien race while saving gorgeous babes, and cast Dwayne Johnson as the lead. Can you seriously imagine anyone better suited in the current action movie climate?
