10 Secret Post-Credits Movie Scenes That Were Absolute Genius

2. Deadpool Vs. Baby Hitler - Deadpool 2: The Super Duper Cut

Deadpool 2 features arguably the funniest batch of mid-credits scenes in cinema history, as Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) travels back through time to "fix the timeline", rescuing his fiancee Vanessa (Morena Baccarin) and X-Force member Peter (Rob Delaney) from death, exterminating his naff old "Barakapool" version of Deadpool from X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and even murdering Ryan Reynolds before he can sign on to play Green Lantern.

And though Ryan Reynolds talked about shooting a scene where he planned to murder baby Hitler - a prospect mentioned by Deadpool during the film - the scene was ultimately cut due to test audiences taking umbrage with the Merc with a Mouth murdering a baby, no matter the grander intent.

But the scene was eventually restored for Deadpool 2's Unrated "Super Duper Cut", albeit with so little fanfare most likely just turned the movie off after those original mid-credits scenes played out again.

But stick around and you'll find the infamous - and insane - scene stapled to the very end of the cut, with Deadpool traveling to 1889 to kill a newborn Hitler.

However, there's an added kicker - Wade chickens out, deciding instead to change young Adolf's nappy while telling him that he'll bring back Cable (Josh Brolin) to do the job, because "he loves killing kids."

So, while the scene doesn't in fact go the whole offensive hog of showing an infant being murdered, we do nevertheless get to laugh our asses off at a masked psychopath apparently finding child killing one line too many for him to cross.

Given that Russell aka Firefist (Julian Dennison) isn't killed in the movie proper, though, it makes thematic sense that we wouldn't quite get to see another young tyrant-in-the-making throttled to death either.
