10 Secret Post-Credits Movie Scenes That Were Absolute Genius

3. Crank: The Video Game - Crank

Crank Jason Statham
Lionsgate

It's often said that the Jason Statham-starring actioner Crank just might be the best video game movie ever made - they just never bothered to make the video game first!

Apt it is, then, that after the film concludes with The Stath's put-upon protagonist Chev Chelios taking a (temporarily) fatal tumble from a helicopter to the ground below, directors Neveldine/Taylor hold one video game-inspired Easter egg for the very end of the credits.

After the Lionsgate logo flashes up, an 8-bit video game-style recreation of some of the movie's action flashes up, showing Chelios going on a murderous rampage before his heart explodes from all the intensity, giving the "player" a Game Over in the process.

In addition to making everyone wonder why no indie dev was commissioned to make this game for real, it's just a damn snazzy and artful addendum in a movie that's ultimately anything but artful.
