1. Future Xavier Will Die X-Men: Days Of Future Past
The earliest film on this list to arrive, we only have to wait five more months before Bryan Singers return to the not-so-distant future. Based on one particular comic run (a big deal, as superhero movies tend to be an amalgamation of several different stories), youd think any plot twists to come are out there in print for all to see. While we know what to expect from the mutant-hunting Sentinels and have a good idea for the general driving force of the plot, the differences between the X-Men movie universe and the comics is large enough for the film to make major changes without batting an eyelid; it will be Wolverine, rather than Kitty Pryde heading back in time and the timeline looks set to be even more complicated. And there might be some unexpected deaths too. We're dealing in an alternate universe here, so any mutants killed off need not be permanent to have an impact. It's a juicy prospect for a filmmaker; the Days Of Future Past comic arc wiped out much of the future cast as the world pushed closer to nuclear doom, so all bets are on as to who will get an emotive death scene. The most likely candidate to bite the dust is Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart vintage). Although it could be dismissed as the standard pretend-the-hero-could-die trick, we've already seen him in the trailer shielding his eyes from a bright explosion. But what makes him the logical victim is his plot importance; what better way to push his younger self over the edge than certain destruction? Agree with these predictions?
