9. The Batman Desert Fight Scene Is A Nightmare That Inspires Batman To Fight Superman

Ever since the trailer for Batman V Superman revealed a shot in which a desert-clad Batman could be glimpsed facing off with Superman-like soldiers against a grim, war-torn backdrop, people have been asking one question: what the heck is all that about, then? Whilst nobody knows, exactly, one theory purports that this is a nightmare sequence playing out in the mind of Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne - the kind that envisions a world in which Superman has taken over the planet and has built an army of his own (hence the "Superman soldiers" seen in the brief scene). This vision could, essentially, prove to be the final push that Batman needs in order to take on Superman; the notion of a future in which Superman rules the world could inspire him to take up arms after much deliberation.
