10 Shocking (But Believable) Theories About Marvel's Phase 3

9. Stephen Strange Will Possess An Infinity Stone Of His Own - Doctor Strange

Doctor Strange (as played by the wonderful Benedict Cumberbatch) will be making his first MCU appearance in 2016 - and in his own feature film, no less. Whilst details about the picture remain incredibly thin on the ground right now, there are a few theories flying around with regards to Stephen Strange's standing as a character in the MCU. One of the more shocking (and yet still believable) theories has the Doctor in possession of an Infinity Stone - a theory that fans have conjured up based on various comments uttered by Marvel Studio's overlord Kevin Feige, but namely in comments regarding the character's links to a "different side of the MCU." See for yourself:
"Doctor Strange is, I believe, our entry point into that other realm, which has dozens of characters and story-lines all of its own."
Then there was this comment:
" very, very important, not just because it's an amazing character study, and a journey of a man who's gone from this very arrogant surgeon to somebody who is quite zen and literally keeps all of reality together on a daily basis, but it also is going to open up a whole other side of storytelling for our movies.€
The mention of other realms, and especially the word "reality," has had fans theorising that Doctor Strange will possess the "Reality Gem," one of the Infinity Stones, and that supervillain Thanos will try and take it from him over the course of the movie. Doctor Strange owned the "Soul Gem" in the comic books, so could be possible too.
