8. Red Skull Will Make A Shocking Return - Avengers: Infinity War

Here is a crazy theory that becomes crazier the more you think about it, and yet... there's something about this one that renders it somewhat believable. After all, nobody is quite sure as to what happened to Red Skull - the villain from the original Captain America movie - and he hasn't shown up anywhere else since. Also: Hugo Weaving, the actor who plays the red-faced baddie, is contracted to appear in three MCU flicks; so far he's been in just one. So why, exactly, is there a theory lingering in the air that Red Skull - of all the MCU villains - will be back to cause a bit of havoc in Avengers: Infinity War? Well, audiences never actually saw Red Skull die, did they? Towards the end of Captain America: The First Avenger, the villain is zapped into a mysterious portal generated by the Tesseract... and that's it. Movie rules denote that, unless you see a body, they probably didn't (and Marvel's open to negotiation on that one. Which means that Red Skull could have been merely transported into space and time, and - either with or without Thanos - is currently waiting in the wings to strike...
