8. More Heroes Will Show Up - Justice League
Justice League will pit Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg and the inevitably returning Superman against Steppenwolf and his Apokoliptian nasties, but there's obviously something they're not telling you.
Other heroes are almost certain to be granted at least a cameo in the ensemble movie, even if it's only in a post-credits sequence to set up one of the future DC Extended Universe films.
The frontrunner for a surprise cameo is Green Lantern, arguably the biggest name snubbed by the lineup, a theory that gained traction when Steppenwolf made a passing reference to his intergalactic police force in the Justice League trailer.
With a Green Lantern Corps movie penciled in for 2020, rumour has it that Abin Sur, the alien Lantern who passes his Power Ring on to Hal Jordan in DC Comics lore, will be joining the Justice League for the final battle.
Evidence supporting the expanded roster theory goes way back. One of the original teaser posters for the movie depicted Aquaman beside the slogan 'unite the seven'.
There's a chance this tagline could refer to the world's seas, but more likely, fans are in for some bonus superheroism, and Green Lantern isn't the only potential cameo.
Justice League mainstays including Martian Manhunter, Hawkman and Hawkgirl could also make surprise appearances, as could members of the extended Batman family, since Nightwing and Batgirl have solo outings in the pipeline.
