10 Sh*tty Sequels That Could Be Heading Our Way

5. The Goonies 2

I never thought the day would ever come. It had been talked about after The Goonies became a cultural hit back in 1985, that a sequel could one day become a reality. Yet, I didnʼt expect that day could come thirty years after its initial release. According to reports, director Richard Donner revealed around a year ago heʼs working a sequel. Since then, writer Chris Columbus has hinted that the process is a rather slow one, and theyʼre still searching very hard to make it work. Both Donner and Columbus havenʼt spoken in too much detail as to the genuine chances of seeing this movie happen, but the pair echoed each others words in saying they plan on not letting anyone down and if it feels right between the two of them, and executive producer Steven Spielberg, the movie may see the light of day. Iʼm just wishing it always feels wrong.

Martin Scorsese fanboy; Can prove in 140-characters why Michael Bay is a hack, and I enjoy a bit of Gridiron at the weekends.
