10 Simple Fixes That Would Have Saved The Star Wars Prequels

7. Naboo Should Have Been Alderaan

Remember the re-worked galactic celebration at the end of Return Of The Jedi special edition? Not only does it revisit planets from across the original trilogy but it also throws in Naboo. The trouble is, it immediately asks the question of what the hell happened to Naboo after the prequel trilogy? Well, nothing actually, which makes its appearance all the more confusing. Coruscant works because it serves as the capital of the entire galaxy. But Naboo is a random addition just to tie the originals to the prequel trilogy. Had Naboo actually been Alderaan, however, then its involvement in the prequel trilogy would have had a much greater impact; the efforts to free it from the Trade Federation ultimately pointless as audiences knew its ultimate fate. It would have also made sense that Leia grew up on her mother's home world. Quite why this obvious decision wasn't made isn't clear, but it's one of the most bizarre oversights in the whole production.
