10 Small Details That Could Ruin Upcoming Comic Book Movies
8. Hawkeye Drawing The Short Straw (Again) - Avengers: Age Of Ultron
There's no denying that Hawkeye, who has twice been played by Jeremy Renner, drew the short straw when it came to The Avengers. Of all the superheroes featured in that movie, his character failed to stick in our memories, like a cardboard cutout or somebody who works at a supermarket checkout in a foreign country. Renner himself has expressed disappointment on this matter; fingers crossed for Avengers 2? Which is to say, Avengers: Age of Ultron really needs to ensure that it treats this character with a little more respect, and we're hoping that writer/director Joss Whedon's script manages to inject Hawkeye with a bit more of a personality. In short, we want him to feel like part of the gang by the end of the flick - to make the same mistake with this character twice would be fairly damning to the movie, no matter how awesome it is.
