Scream 4's final showdown takes place in an injured Sidney's hospital room, where she's attacked by the surviving killer, her cousin Jill (Emma Roberts).

Jill quickly takes charge of the situation, incapacitating Dewey (David Arquette) and Judy Hicks (Marley Shelton) while holding Gale at gunpoint.

However, at this moment Sid surreptitiously begins charging up the defibrillator in the room, which Gale takes notice of. And so, with Jill's gun trained on her, Gale stalls for time by asking Jill if she can say just one more word.

After a beat she says "clear," letting Sid know that the defibrillators were fully charged.

Sid then pops up and applies the charged paddles to Jill's head, knocking her out. But Jill isn't quite done yet, so Sid then has to pop a bullet in her chest to finish the job.

Now to be fair, defibrillators don't actually work like this in real life, but that's basically besides the point. Gale was extremely fast on her feet in keeping Jill distracted and occupied while Sid teed up their escape plan. Genius.
