10 Songs That Made Iconic Movie Scenes

4. Pixies – Where Is My Mind? (Fight Club)

While much of the Fight Club soundtrack was composed by the ridiculously prolific Dust Brothers, it was a 1988 Pixies composition that played out the mind-bending modern classic – the faultless stunner ‘Where Is My Mind?’

With such a mind-blowing finale which sees The Narrator realize that Tyler Durden is just a figment of his imagination, this 10/10 motion picture sealed the deal with its inclusion of the track. The haunting quality that the song possesses further hammer’s home the deranged psyche of The Narrator, accentuating the plot twist with its ethereal other-worldliness.

As the buildings explode, this Pixies classic rings out like a musical beacon amidst the film’s hazy fog. The title ‘Where Is My Mind?’ alone perfectly captures not just the mental condition of the main character, but the confused frame of mind of the viewer too. Stellar stuff.
